TRL stands for Trust, Respect and Love. Good behaviour grows out of a good relationship, so that is where the work begins.
Trust
Your dog learns that you are safe, consistent and worth listening to. Everything else is built on this.
Respect
Clear, fair boundaries your dog can understand. Training works with the way dogs think and communicate, so the rules make sense to them.
Love
The goal is a relaxed dog and a family who enjoys them. Training should bring you closer and make everyday life easier for everyone.
A lifelong dog lover with the training to back it up
Nikki was born in the UK and has called South Africa home since 1998. Before training dogs professionally she worked at a vet practice, where she saw first-hand how health, stress and handling affect the way a dog behaves.
She trained with the British College of Canine Studies and now works with dogs and their owners across the Winelands. More than 50 clients have worked with her so far, from new puppy owners to families with dogs who have picked up difficult habits.
Dogs are her passion, at work and at home. She is a mum of two and shares her home with a German Shepherd and a street-bred pavement special, so she knows what life with a busy family and a busy dog really looks like.
